High-volume coating process for black high-gloss finishes

ceramHEO® is a very special black wet paint coating process that combines aesthetic and functional surface attributes in a unique kind of way. The surface retains a jet black look as well as high resilience against mechanical, chemical and corrosive strains. It is also attractive for your bottom line, thanks to the scaling benefits of a high-volume coating process.

ceramHEO® is a deep black and high-gloss surface for aluminium and steel components. The appealing appearance remains the same during the entire life cycle of the component.

Through various OEM specifications and benchmarks with other coating systems, ceramHEO® was confirmed as the best resistance to scratching on the market.

With our TopCoat, the gloss and resistance for the outermost layer are formed. The winning formula of ceramHEO® is the high gloss level and the high scratch resistance of TopCoat. Almost a contradiction. However, we solved it.

basecoat

Our BaseCoat creates the deep black appearance that we and our customers appreciate so much. We have found a perfect interaction between BaseCoat and TopCoat, which makes the difference in the industrial wet paint coating.

The functional attributes of our ecoating process consist of straightforward processing, high-quality dip coating, and sensitive handling. This first coating layer builds the foundation for the quality we aim for. Our ecoating layer is edge-optimized, provides high corrosion protection, and optimally levels the surface for further coating steps.

High-volume coating process for black powder coatings

mattHEO® is our coating process for opaque black surfaces on aluminum and steel components. The powder coating process is composed of a dual-layer lacquer construction and an adapted inline coating mechanism. We use the technology in high volumes and thus take advantage of economies of scale, which in turn benefit our customers.

Special features

Process control

We are currently exclusively coating components with black powder coatings based on polyester. Our color gradients are limited to the black spectrum, which guarantees quality results.

Inline production

Component pretreatment, ecoating, and subsequent powder coatings all occur in one production line. Our ecoating process is optimized to make after-treatments superfluous, allowing us to create high outputs with short production intervals in premium automotive quality.

High-volume corrosion protection

Corrosion protection is a high priority in our coating processes; we use cataphoretic dip coating (KTL) to make it happen. Aluminum and steel components are supposed to retain their original states and be shielded from mechanical, chemical, and environmental hazards.

Edge optimization

Due to the optimized edge coverage of our electrodeposition coatings, reliable corrosion protection is achieved even in very precarious areas (ridges, sharp edges). This forms the basis for our subsequent quality coatings.
